Wings Patrosso Makes NHL Preliminary Ranking List

Danville Wings Left Wing Derek Patrosso (6'0,186) was on the NHL preliminary ranking B list for the USHL released this morning. Of the 276 players in the USHL, 33 players made the A and B list. Patrosso, who will play at Colorado College next season, has 6 goals and 16 assists this season with a plus/minus of 4. Wings Defenseman Brett Beauchamp (6'0, 200) and Mike Beck (6'0, 200) made the list as players to watch in the future. Former Wings goalie Craig Vardy of Sioux Falls was on the list for goalies.

Patrosso, Foster Selected to Viking Cup Team

11/25/03 - Danville Wings forwards Alex Foster and Derek Patrosso were selected to the 2004 Team USA Viking Cup team. This all-star team will face an international contingent of 19-and-under select teams from Finland, Slovakia, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The international tournament will be played late December and early January. The 22 member Team USA is comprised of USHL stars and 2 players form the NAHL. Team USA will be coached be P.K. Handley (Waterloo Blackhawks), Joe Shawhan (Soo Indians) and Al Bloomer (Billings).

Foster (15-8-23 18 games) and Patrosso (6-16-22 18 games) are currently in fifth and sixth place in league scoring.

November 25, 2003 - Derek Edwardson of Miami University had a huge week last week as he posted 7 points by scoring 2 goals and dishing out 5 assists.
