Montgomery Wings News Release
The Montgomery Wings and RHP William Hendershot split ways as the Wings granted Hendershot his release following the Southeastern League All-Star break.
Hendershot left the team following Thursday's game against the Pensacola Pelicans, only to inform team officials on Monday that he was not returning to the team.
The Wings front office and coaching staff decided to release Hendershot to free up a spot on the roster.
Hendershot was 1-1 this season in middle relief with a 4.25 earned run average.
