May 11, 2006 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
Defenseman Glenn Clark announced his retirement today from the Philadelphia Wings in conjunction with his acceptance of the Head Coaching position for the Toronto Rock. Clark, a five-time champion as a player with the Rock, spent his final season with the Wings.
"Glenn is a first class person and we will greatly miss him," said Wings Owner and President Russ Cline. "Toronto is a great coaching opportunity for him and we wish him all the best."
Clark, who represented the Wings at the 2006 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game, is a defensive specialist and a key penalty killer. The Pickering, Ontario native recorded twelve points (2G, 10A), and 79 loose balls for the Wings last season. Clark was acquired 27th overall by the Ontario Raiders (now Toronto Rock) in the 1998 NLL Entry Draft.
The Philadelphia Wings are owned and operated by Philadelphia Wings L.P., whose principal owners are Russ Cline, Chris Fritz and Michael French. Comcast-Spectacor serves as the marketing, sponsorship and publicity arm of the Wings.
