Wings get huge win over Mammoth

The Philadelphia Wings (6-6) defeated the Colorado Mammoth (7-5) on Friday, March 18 at the Wachovia Center by a score of 15-12 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Wings are off until Saturday, April 2 when they face the Toronto Rock at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m.

The Wings are two games behind the East Division leading Buffalo Bandits and are in fourth place overall. The top three teams in each division advance to the National Lacrosse League Playoffs. The Wings have four games remaining, three of which are against their East Division rival the Rock.

WINGS WIN LAST THREE OUT OF FOUR
After starting the season at 5-2, the Wings have won three out of their last four games. The first win came over the Minnesota Swarm on February 20 by a score of 18-17, followed by a 14-8 win over the Buffalo Bandits on February 25 and a 15-8 win over the Swarm on March 5. In their last two games, the Wings were defeated 13-12 by the Rochester Knighthawks on March 12 and defeated the Colorado Mammoth 15-12 on March 18.

THE LEADER BOARD
Tom Marechek is the Wings' leading point scorer with 57 points (27G, 30A), followed by Dan Marohl with 57 points (18G, 39A), Keith Cromwell with 50 points (19G, 31A), Jeff Ratcliffe with 47 points (28G, 19A), and Marc Morley with 36 points (16G, 21A).

Goaltender Dallas Eliuk is fifth overall in the NLL with a 12.37 goals against average and a 76.39% save percentage in nine games played.
