Wings Drop One to Vipers

Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release


A safety by Wes Stephens late in the third quarter gave Tennessee a 46-34 lead and was a momentum shift for the Vipers. A 1-yard touch down run by QB Matt Sauk late in the fourth quarter extended the Vipers lead 56-42 and ended any hopes Bossier had to win the game as the Tennessee Valley Vipers beat the Bossier City Battle Wings 66-55 Friday night.

Sauk finished 26 of 34 for 288 yards and six touchdowns by air, two by ground and one interception for the Vipers (5-0). Battle Wings QB Sherard Poteete was 19 of 31 for 303 yards and also had six touchdowns by air, two by ground and one interception. This loss was the third straight for Bossier (2-4) while the Vipers remain the only undefeated af2 team.
