"It's been a tough weekend for our club," said Wings' General Manager and Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson. "We played a better game tonight than we did last night against Toronto, but we weren't able to capitalize on a couple of momentum swings to take this thing in the right direction. "

Rochester scored two straight, a goal by Shawn Williams from the point and a one on one from John Grant. The Knighthawks scored two straight at the beginning of the third quarter (Mike Accursi, Millin) before the Wings' Greenhalgh got his hat trick goal. The Wings went on a three goal run - two straight extra attacker goals by Jake Bergey and rookie Kyle Wailes' first of the night. But Rochester stopped the Wings' comeback when Steve Toll scored at 10:06. At the end of three, the Knighthawks held an 11-7 lead.

The scoring started late in the fourth quarter when the Knighthawks' Millin got his third of the night. The Wings tried to mount a last minute comeback with three straight goals (Peter Jacobs, a power play goal from Jeff Ratcliffe, Athan Iannucci) but Rochester hung on for a 12-10 win.
