
Wings AJ Shannon leads fourth quarter comeback to knock off undefeated bandits

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Wings AJ Shannon scores last two goals and assists on two more in the fourth quarter to finish Philadelphia comeback over the previously undefeated Buffalo Bandits, 13-11. With the Wings down two with ten minutes left they scored five of the next six goals to capture their first home victory of 2009.
"I was impressed by the consistent effort of our entire offense tonight," said Head Coach Dave Huntley. "Our effort in the fourth quarter ultimately won us the game."
Shannon, in his second season with the Wings had five points (2G 3A), was joined by Geoff Snider who won 24 of 28 faceoffs and Mat Giles who was the team's leading scoring with six points (3G 3A). Goaltender Brandon Miller also added 34 saves, 10 of which were in the final quarter of play.
In the evening's Deitz & Watson Hot Dog Eating Contest on Dollar Dog Night, Wings die hard "Morpheus" devoured four hot dogs in five minutes to win a suite to an upcoming Wings home game
