Philadelphia Wings News Release

Philadelphia Wings General Manager and Head Coach Dave Huntley has announced the team has acquired right handed forward Dan Teat from the Edmonton Rush in exchange for Derek Malawsky. Teat, a 13 year NLL veteran, led the Rush in scoring this past season with 69 points (28G 41A). Malawsky was originally selected by the Wings in the Portland Lumberjax dispersal draft on July 7.

In addition to leading the Rush in goals (28) and assists (41), he picked up 55 loose balls and tallied a team best two game winning goals. In 185 career games played, Teat has accrued 594 points (283G 311A) and 716 loose balls. His 69 point output in 2009 is second in his career only to the 73 points he had as a member of the Albany Attack in 2002. Teat began his career with the Rochester Knighthawks (1997-99), before going to Albany (2001-03), San Jose (2004), Buffalo (2004-2008) and finally Edmonton where he was traded during the 2008 season.
