Wilmington Hammerheads Announce Tryouts

Wilmington, NC - The Wilmington Hammerheads are eager to announce three open tryouts leading up to the 2012 season for eligible college seniors, free agents and amateur players who are seeking a professional contract. Tryouts will be held at the Hammerhead's home field, Legion Stadium, and are set for December 3-4, 2011, January 14-15, 2012 and March 10-11, 2012.

The Hammerheads are in search of players who have the proper skill level, are dedicated & prepared for the rigors of the professional game, and believe they are ready to challenge for playing time in USL PRO. Director of Soccer David Irving is seeking players who will add depth to the current roster that finished the 2011 regular season 2nd overall. These open tryouts are the best way to unearth the next Luke Mulholland or Chris Banks, valuable contributors to last season's team. "We're always looking for players who can compete & contribute at the professional level and are hoping to find undiscovered talent at these open tryouts," said Irving.

Those interested in registering for one of the three open tryout dates hosted by the Hammerheads must fill out an application and submit a $120 fee prior to attending.
