Wilderness Chill Carlson, Advance to Game 4
April 20, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Minnesota Wilderness News Release
The Wilderness got off to a big 4-0 lead and survived a 3rd period comeback attempt from the Chill to win Game 3, 5-4 and stay alive in their best of five Midwest Division Semi-Final series. Game 4 is slated for Saturday, April 18th in Coulee Region. The Wilderness were finally able to solve Chill goalie Adam Carlson thanks to two 1st period goals from Brett Heikkila and Dan Litchke. In the 2nd period, the Wilderness scored twice more including a power play goal from Michael Covach and another from Litchke. Carlson was then ejected from the game after a skirmish late in the 2nd period, which seemed to spark the Chill as they then scored four goals in the 3rd period with goals from Richard Zehnal, Nico Luka, Charlie Parker, and Adam Lovick. However, a goal from Tyler Cline in the period would stand as the game-winner. Brock Kautz would pick up the win in goal for the Wilderness, making 42 saves, while Chill back-up goalie Jimmy Thomas took the loss, making 16 saves in a relief appearance.
