
Wild Trainer Moves on to NFL

If you look closely at the sideline of the Arizona Cardinals during the upcoming NFL season, you might see a trainer with local connections. Former Head Athletic Trainer of the Wichita Wild, Chad Cook, was recently hired as an Assistant Trainer with the reigning NFC Champions. Cook left the Wild shortly before the playoffs in order to prepare for Cardinals training camp which opened on July 29.
Cook joined the Wild in March after serving as an Assistant Trainer with the Atlanta Falcons during the 2008 NFL season. Cook also served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League until August of 2008 when he was promoted to Head Trainer until he left in March of 2009. The Cross Plains, TN native was employed full-time in Wichita by Kansas Joint and Spine Institute.
Cook interned for the Falcons in 2007 after receiving his Master?s Degree from Louisiana State University in May of 2007. Cook earned his Bachelor?s Degree from Middle Tennessee State in 2005.
Kansas Joint and Spine Institute (KJSI) served as the Official Medical Provider of the Wichita Wild during the 2009 season. KJSI specializes in sports medicine, joint reconstruction, arthroscopy, and spinal reconstruction. KJSI also uses aquatic therapy at their stat-of-the-are rehabilitation center in Wichita.
