Wild Set Open Tryout for 2011 Squad

The Wichita Wild Indoor Pro Football team and Head Coach Ken Matous will be holding the first open tryout for the 2011 team on Sunday, November 7. The tryout will take place at Hartman Arena in Park City, KS. Registration and warm-up will begin at 8:00 AM with the tryout starting at 9:00. Kickers are invited to register at 10:00 AM and will begin trying out at 11:00.
Those wanting to tryout can pre-register by calling the Wild office at 316-440-5044. Players can also register on November 7 at Hartman Arena. Registration is $50 and will only be accepted by cash or money order.
Players will be evaluated based on 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, vertical jump, agility, and various position specific drills. Those trying out are asked to wear shorts and t-shirt as no pads or helmets will be used during the auditions. Turf shoes are also required of all players trying out.
Kickers will be evaluated on kickoff and filed goal proficiency.
