Wichita Wild News Release

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) has re-signed two players that have the ability to contribute at multiple positions and increase their productivity in 2010. The Wild re-signed offensive and defensive lineman John Mobley as well as defensive specialist Tanis Ready.

Mobley joined the Wild two games into the 2009 season and saw action on both sides of the ball during the campaign. On defense, Mobley recorded 10.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks in nine games. Mobley's ability to help on offense made him valuable as well.

"With our roster limited to just 21 players, having a guy like John that can help on both sides is invaluable" Wild Head Coach Ken Matous said. "John should see a greater amount of playing time this upcoming season."

Mobley's first taste of indoor football came in 2008 when he started the first two games of the season for the Billings Outlaws of the IFL. Mobley did not allow a sack in those games, but was released. Mobley then signed with the New Mexico Wildcats of the American Indoor Football Association.

Mobley finished playing at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) in 2007. Mobley finished his WSSU career with 21 appearances and 20 starts as he anchored a WSSU offensive front that saw three 1,000 yard rushers over a two-year span. Before going to WSSU, Mobley played for one season at North Carolina A & T.

Ready will be entering his second season with the Wild. In 2009, Ready provided depth at the linebacker position and on defensive line. Ready finished 8th on the team in tackles as he recorded 28.5 during the regular season. Ready also recorded one interception during the campaign. The Cleveland, OK native played at Friends University in Wichita from 2004-2007.

The Wild open the 2010 season at home on Friday, February 26 at 7:05 PM. Season tickets for the 2010 season are currently on sale. Fans can purchase tickets by calling call the Wild office at 316-440-5044 or go online to www.stage1tickets.com. Tickets start at only $79 for the entire season. The 2009 Wild finished with a 10-7 record and were crowned the Indoor Football League's Central Division Champions.
