Wild Hire New Dance Team Director

The Wichita Wild is excited to announce that LaTisha McFarthing has joined the team as Director of the Wild Things dance team. McFarthing brings over 20 years of dance experience to the position. McFarthing will enhance the fans experience at games as the Wild Things will be a major part of the action.

McFarthing?s dance resume is extensive. After dancing at Wichita Heights High School, McFarthing received scholarships to dance at Allen County Community College and Butler County Community College. LaTisha also studied dance at Buckner Performing Art School and Kansas Dance Academy.

McFarthing started dancing professionally for the Wichita Wings from 2000-2001 and Wichita Warlords in 2001 before moving to Georgia to join the front office and the dance squad of the Macon Knights of Arena Football2. McFarthing was the Dance Director and Choreographer for the Knights from 2001-2004.

LaTisha then returned to Wichita to attend Wichita State and dance for the Shockers. McFarthing graduated with a degree in Psychology in 2005. From 2006 to 2008, McFarthing coached the Wichita Southeast High School dance team. The team was recognized with numerous awards under her leadership.

McFarthing is currently working on her MBA at Baker University and teaches special needs students at Southeast High School in Wichita. McFarthing resides in Wichita with her husband Wendell and son Jackson. Her stepdaughter, Ashley, is a freshman at Oklahoma City Community College and her stepson, Jared, resides in Dallas.
