Wild Continue Playoff Push on Friday at Hartman Arena

The Wichita Wild and Rochester Raiders will do battle on Friday night as both team look for a spot in the United Conference Championship game. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:05 PM at Hartman Arena in Park City. Both teams come into the game with 10-5 records after winning first round playoff games last weekend. Wichita scored 61 points in a convincing win over Bloomington while Rochester advanced by sneaking past Richmond by a score of 26-24.

Behind the arm of former Syracuse quarterback Perry Patterson, the Raiders rank 4th in the IFL in passing yards per game with 183.3. Patterson finished the regular season 4th in the league in passing touchdowns with 53. His favorite target is All-IFL receiver Kevin Concepcion. Conception led the league in touchdown receptions with 31 during the regular season.

Rochester does not rely heavily on the run game as they are ranked 21st in the IFL averaging 48.7 yards on the ground per game. Wichita ranks 4th averaging 80.5 rushing yards per game.

The story on defense for the Raiders starts and ends with defensive lineman Eddie Bynes. Bynes recorded three sacks and three tackles for loss in the first round victory over Richmond. Bynes and the Raiders defense held Richmond to their second lowest point total of the year only allowing 24 points in the win.
