Wild Build More Depth On Defense

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) have signed two more newcomers to the defensive side of the ball for the 2010 season. The Wild have signed defensive back Curtis Morrow and defensive lineman DJ Howell. Morrow and Howell each have indoor football experience.

Morrow will be playing in his fifth season of indoor football. In 2009, Morrow played one game for the Louisiana Swashbucklers if the Southern Indoor Football League (SIFL) before being injured and lost for the season. Louisiana went on to win the SIFL title. In 2008, Morrow was a member of the Alaska Wild of the IFL. The Lake Charles, LA native scored three touchdowns as a wide receiver for Alaska.

In 2006, Morrow started the year with the Monroe Gators of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) before joining the Louisiana Swashbucklers and helping them to the IFL title. Morrow was named to the IFL All-League team following the season. Morrow's first taste of pro football came in 2005, when he was a member of the Lake Charles Landsharks of the NIFL.

Morrow split his college career between Grambling State and West Los Angeles Community College.

Howell is entering his third season of indoor football after playing the past two seasons for the Kansas Koyotes of the American Professional Football League (APFL). Howell recorded 8.5 sacks from the defensive end position in 2008 for the Koyotes. Howell spent training camp in February and March of 2009 with the Iowa Barnstormers of Arena Football2.

The Buckeye, AZ native played at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. In 2006, Howell was named to the Heart of America Conference First Team as well as an NAIA All-Region team member. Howell spent his first two seasons of college eligibility at Glendale Community College. In 2002, Howell recorded nine sacks for the Vaqueros.

Tickets start at only $79 for the entire season. The 2009 Wild finished with a 10-7 record and were crowned the Indoor Football League's Central Division Champions.
