
Wild Assigns Five to Aeros

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) has reduced its training camp roster to 43. The Wild reassigned LW Brandon Buck, RW Jarod Palmer, RW Joel Broda, RW Jean-Michel Daoust and G Josh Tordjman to the Houston Aeros.
Brandon Buck appeared in 21 games for the Aeros last season and totaling three points, all on assists. Buck began the 2009-10 season with the ECHL's Florida Everblades appearing in 47 games where he totaled 39 points (18+21=39) with 22 PIM.
Jarod Palmer spent the past four seasons at the University of Miami (Ohio) and signed an entry-level contract with the Wild following his senior season in 2009-10. Palmer appeared in 44 games for the RedHawks totaling 45 points (18+27=45) and 40 PIM. Palmer was a member of the Wild's Traverse City Prospects team earlier this month and totaled five points, (3+2=5), during the tournament.
Joel Broda spent the last two seasons with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL. Broda appeared in 66 games last season for Calgary in totaling 73 points (39+34=73) with 65 PIM. Broda also appeared in 23 games last season during the post-season for Calgary totaling 17 points.
Jean-Michel Daoust was the leading scorer for the Aeros last season. Daoust appeared in 78 games for Houston last season totaling 55 points (21+34=55) with 38 PIM.
Josh Tordjman spent the previous four seasons with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. Tordjman played in 45 games during the 2009-10 season for the Rampage with a 20-22-2 record, a 2.96 GAA and a .902 save percentage.
