
Wild announces Assistant Coach

After hiring head Coach Romeo Lagmay, the Wild soon after hired Ronald Beatty as assistant coach.
As a coach, Coach Beatty has coaching experience with stints at Portsmouth HS in Ohio and Capital and St. Alban's HS in Charleston.
As a player, Coach Beatty is a former standout from Charleston, WV; he holds all-American status from Stonewall Jackson HS and as well at WVU Tech. Beatty has a state championships in 1982 in high school and two conference championships in 1986 and 1989 at Division II WVU Tech (in Beatty's playing days it was NAIA).
"I look forward to coaching back in my hometown of Charleston. The IBL is based on community support, and I hope that the people of Charleston and West Virginia will allow us to have a successful professional basketball organization" adds Ron Beatty.
This is not the first time that Coach Beatty and Coach Romeo have worked together on the sideline. They were assistant coaches for the WVU Tech's men's basketball program for two years during the 2003-2005 seasons.
The Wild has also hired Brian Miller as the Director of Marketing and Promotions. Brian is also an alumnus of WVU Tech and is currently employed as a counselor working with the Upward Bound Program.
The Wild will be hosting their first Tryout Camp on January 7th, 2006 starting at 9:00am at the Martin Luther King Center in Charleston. More camps will be held at later dates. For information, you can contact the Wild at: www.westvirginiawildhoops.com or 304-720-2244.
