Wichita Stealth News Release

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth will begin their quest for ArenaCup 2003 in 11 days. The Stealth will begin training camp on March 11th with player meetings and physicals, and then follow that up with practices beginning on March 12. The Stealth will be putting the final touches on their training camp roster in the upcoming week. Arenafootball2 teams are allowed to bring 35 players to training camp.

A full thirty-five man roster will be released as soon as it is finalized. Notables that are expected to be in camp are: Joe Phears - the af2 pass rating leader from 2002 with the Tulsa Talons, Chris Enneking - returning Stealth lineman from 2002 and a Built Ford Tough Player of the Week winner last season, and former NFL players - Michael Dritlein (KC Chiefs), Dan Dawson (Arizona Cardinals), and Ty Ardoin (NY Giants).

"We are very excited about the upcoming season," said Stealth head coach Bob Cortese. " This is a very talented group of players and we are excited to get on the field and put everything together."

The Stealth only have seventeen days to put everything into place before their first game on March 29th versus the Arkansas Twisters. The Stealth will be looking to gain some revenge on the Twisters from last season, as they dropped both meetings in 2002 to Arkansas. "This is a new team with a new attitude, so you can throw all the records from last year out the window," said Cortese.

STEALTH NOTES: Season tickets are still available for all eight Stealth home games starting at $48, call the Stealth office at 316.755.3307 for more information...If you can't wait for arena football to start on March 29th, you can catch the Arena Football League at 2 p.m. each and every Sunday on the AFL on NBC.
