Who Are the Frost Heaves' All-Stars? Tell Us!
February 22, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Vermont Frost Heaves News Release
By now you probably know that Vermont will host the ABA All-Star Weekend at the Aud in Barre over March 21 & 22. Coach Will Voigt will lead the East All-Stars against the West on that Saturday afternoon, and the Frost Heaves are sure to be well-represented in Friday night's Slam-Dunk and Three-Point Contests.
In addition, as one of the top teams in the ABA Power Rankings, the Frost Heaves are entitled to place two All-Stars on the East team. Once again we're asking for your help in determining who they'll be.
By 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, please send an e-mail to info@vermontfrostheaves.com to nominate the Frost Heaves you believe are most deserving. You may name up to three players. Just be sure to rank them in order of preference.
Nearly two years ago you chose Coach Voigt in an online vote, and he wound up being named ABA Coach of the Year after leading us to a title. You selected last season's All-Stars, Aaron Cook and Antonio Burks, and both did a terrific job representing you at the 2007 All-Star Weekend in Halifax. Democracy is a great form of government-now it's time once again to convene our New England town meeting!
Mail your nominations-no more than three, please, and ranked in order-to info@vermontfrostheaves.com. Deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday!
The Frost Heaves thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours in hoops,
Alexander Wolff
President and General Manager
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
