
WHL Set to Release Schedule for 2007-08 Season

CALGARY, AB - The Western Hockey League will release the 2007 - 08 schedule on Tuesday, August 7th at 11:00 a.m. MST.
The schedule will include the WHL's newest franchise, the Edmonton Oil Kings, playing in a special opening game on Thursday, September 20, 2007 against the visiting Kootenay Ice. Edmonton has joined the WHL Central Division as an expansion franchise for the 2007 - 08 season.
With the addition of the Edmonton Oil Kings all WHL Divisions become balanced with 6 teams in the East and Central Divisions, while the B.C. and U.S. Divisions house 5 teams each.
