
WHL Championship Series: Game One Highlights

Calgary, AB -- Martin Jones made 26 saves to record his second shutout of the 2010 WHL playoffs as the Calgary Hitmen skated to a 7-0 win over the visiting Tri-City Americans in Game 1 of the 2010 WHL Championship series on Friday night. Matt MacKenzie and Misha Fisenko each scored twice while Cody Sylvester - with his 10th of the playoffs - Brandon Kozun and Cody Beach also scored for the Hitmen, who scored four goals on 11 shots in the first period in the series-opening win. Del Cowan, Michael Stone and Ben Wilson each drew two assists. Drew Owsley allowed four goals on nine shots in the first 10:52 of the game before giving way to Alex Pechurskiy, who made 11 saves on 13 shots the rest of the way in the loss for the Americans.
The Hitmen host the Ams for Game 2 of the best-of-seven series on Saturday night in Calgary.
