The 'Caps hope to end the month of June on a positive note as they take on Cleveland City Stars today at 4:00 p.m. Catch the match on usllive.com. After a difficult weekend in Montreal where Thursday the 'Caps watched Toronto FC defeat Montreal Impact 6-1 to win the Voyageurs Cup and claim the spot to represent Canada in the CONCACAF Champions League. This was followed by a disappointing 2-1 loss to the Impact on Saturday afternoon. The Whitecaps will face the City Stars today without several key members of their squad. Wesley Charles and Charles Gbeke will serve their final match in a two-game suspension. Jeff Parke (turf toe), Geordie Lyall (hamstring), and Justin Moose (foot) have stayed behind in Vancouver are currently nursing their respective injuries. Ansu Toure recently injured his knee and will also miss the match. Read more on the match preview.
The women also play tonight in Pali at 7:00 p.m. They're coming off a 3-1 win against Ventura County on Saturday and currently find theselves in a position to make the playoffs. They return from their road trip on June 28th to play in the first match of the soccer series (see below).
