Whitecaps FC Defender Cristián Gutiérrez Claimed off Waivers by Toronto FC

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Tuesday that defender Cristián Gutiérrez has been claimed off waivers by Toronto FC.

"We are thankful to Cristián for his time at the club and wish him all the best in the future," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director.

Gutiérrez joined Whitecaps FC in January 2020 from Chilean side Colo-Colo and went on to start 32 of his 44 appearances across all competitions for the club, adding six assists.

TRANSACTION: On March 14, 2023, Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Cristián Gutiérrez is claimed off waivers by Toronto FC.
