Toronto Rock News Release

Montreal, QC - The first-place Toronto Rock (6-2) will take on the red-hot New York Riptide (5-4) on Saturday night at Place Bell in Laval, QC. This will be the Rock's first regular season game in Montreal since they played the Express in 2002, the lone season of existence for the Quebec based NLL team.

Fans can watch the game vs. New York at 7:00pm ET onTSN and TSN's digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+. To stream the game, you need a TSN+ subscription.

Here's what to watch for in Friday's matchup.

Zack Kearney was moved from the Practice Roster to the Active Roster on Thursday. Josh Jubenville has been placed on the Injured Reserve List with a lower body injury.

Toronto Rock Head Coach Matt Sawyer got his start in the NLL in 2002 as an assistant coach to Terry Sanderson with the Montreal Express.

Toronto Rock Assistant Coach Bruce Codd was a star with the Montreal Express in their lone season. Codd, most known for his defensive play, scored 9 goals, 36 assists and 45 point in that 2002 season, the best offensive total of his NLL career. His next best season point total was 15. Montreal was magic for Codd.

While the Rock have lost two of their last three games, both losses came at home. The Rock are undefeated on the road at 3-0 this season.

Brad Kri scooped up 6 loose balls in the Rock's loss to Calgary last week to give him 869 in a Rock jersey, passing Colin Doyle (857) for 2nd place all time in franchise history. Jim Veltman's 1,958 is tops all-time with the Rock.

The Rock are a +17 in GF/GA while the Riptide are a -4 on the season.

This is the second and final regular season meeting between the two clubs. Toronto defeated New York 14-8 on Dec. 30 in Rock City. It was the Rock's largest margin of victory this season.

Injury Report: Josh Jubenville (LBI) is listed as out. Tyler Hendrycks, Latrell Harris, Chase Schiavon and Jordan McKenna all remain on the PUP List.

The Rock will be back at home next weekend to host the Vancouver Warriors on Saturday, February 24 at 7pm at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, ON.
