RiverCity Rage News Release

A pair of college teammates from Western New Mexico University are the latest additions to the 2005 RiverCity Rage. The duo were teammates at Arizona Western College, a 2 year program, before transferring to Western New Mexico.

"Two coaches that I have a great deal of respect for called about Bruce and Hurtis and then I backed that up by speaking with a friend who is a scout in the NFL. All three were convinced tha the duo could be impact players for us and after viewing film, I came away with a similar opinion. They both can fly and speed is a prime commodity at any level." stated Rage GM and Head Football Coach Mike Wyatt.

Bruce Blue, 6'3"-265 lb. defensive end led the Western New Mexico Mustangs in sacks in 2004 with 11 to his credit in 10 games. He also accounted for 14.5 tackles for losses to lead the team in that category, as well. All in all the Rochester, NY native was responsible for more than 1/3 of the teams sack total in 2004.

Hurtis Chinn, a 5'8", 190 lb. speedster accounted for 939 yards of total offense in 2004 for the Mustangs while leading the team in scoring with 8 TDs in 9 games played. A native of Miami, FL, Chinn has been reported to run sub 4.4 seconds in the 40 yard dash.

"Both of these players will help us in areas where we felt we needed some help. They both are hard-working, good attitude players by all accounts." added Wyatt.
