Westchester Knicks to Host Halloween-Themed Draft Party

WHITE PLAINS, October 28, 2015 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, invite fans to a NBA D-League Draft Party at Buffalo Wild Wings in downtown White Plains on Saturday, Oct. 31. Westchester Knicks General Manager Allan Houston and Head Coach Mike Miller will announce the results of the 2015 NBA D-League Draft to fans in person.
The party will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains with the draft itself taking place via teleconference at 2:00 p.m. The Westchester Knicks will select the second overall pick in the first round. Fans can follow the eight-round NBA D-League Draft on nba.com/dleague.
Houston and Miller will be joined by members of the Westchester Knicks Dancers, who will be handing out candy to all guests in attendance. The event will also include the first ever Westchester Knicks Halloween Costume Contest judged by Allan Houston. The winner of the contest will receive the ultimate Opening Night experience on Thursday, Nov. 2, which includes two Club Seats, a chance to take the Buffalo Wild Wings Half-Court Shot to win free wings for an entire year, and the opportunity to deliver the game ball pre-game.
The free event will be hosted by Westchester Knicks public address announcer Mark Fratto and will also include giveaways and Knicks trivia for fans.
The draft party will tip off the second season of Westchester Knicks basketball with the team set to open up the entire NBA D-League season at the Westchester County Center on Nov. 12 against the Maine Red Claws at 7:00 p.m.
