Grand Rapids, Michigan - The West Michigan ThunderHawks of the Indoor Football League will begin selling individual game tickets to all seven home contests for the upcoming 2010 season beginning Wednesday, January 6th at Noon E.S.T. Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, online via www.ticketmaster.com and at the DeltaPlex Arena box office, 2500 Turner Ave. NW.
The ThunderHawks will open their fourth season at home on Friday, February 26th against the Maryland Maniacs. The 4,400-seat DeltaPlex is the new home of the indoor football franchise, which moved to Grand Rapids in November after spending its first three seasons in nearby Muskegon. Other home dates are March 19th and 26th, April 17th, and May 1st, 15th and 22nd.
Adult tickets will range from $10 to $17 with a variety of seating options available to accommodate all fans including a special alcohol-free family section as well as the "Thunder Zone", a section near the visitor's bench for the loudest and rowdiest fanatics. There will also be a very limited number of floor-level tickets in the "Hawks Nest", a standing-room-only section for those who want a unique perspective, priced at $15.
General admission seating in the upper arena is available for $10 and kids up to age 12 can get a ticket in any section for just $8. Senior citizens receive discounted pricing in all seating sections as well. There will be a $2 facility fee added to the price of each ticket with an additional $1 added to each ticket purchased on the day of the game. Convenience charges also apply for online purchases.
The ThunderHawks offer discounted rates for groups of 20 or more with groups of over 100 saving as much as $8 per ticket. Season ticket packages are also on sale, featuring seven tickets for the price of six plus many additional benefits including an exclusive "Flight Club" t-shirt.
