West Coast Hotshots Head to Edmonton
June 8, 2011 - International Basketball League (IBL)
West Coast Hotshots News Release
West Coast Hotshots roll into Edmonton to play against the Edmonton Energy in what looks to be an exciting three-game series
West Coast Hotshots are 8-5 while Edmonton Energy is 8-4 after a 6-game winning streak. IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilio- "Edmonton's 6-game winning streak is great but the single win in Albany New York in what was at the time Albany's 12th game versus Edmonton's 3rd game and on the road- was the win that really has me thinking that Edmonton, as usual, will be a contender for the IBL Championship in July". The IBL Championship tournament is held in Vancouver Washington July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 2011. The "Edmonton Energy is a contender for the title- they are deep and will probably peak at about the right time" says Commissioner Duilio, also adding "the Energy have 8 players averaging double figures so it is hard for teams to try to shut down one or two guys and almost all of the Energy players- even the big men- can shoot the 3-pointer".
