Werner, Burkholder and Stark earn weekly honors

Evan Werner (Tri City Storm), Max Burkholder (Dubuque Fighting Saints) and Jack Stark (Chicago Steel) collected United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for games played between Nov. 23-26, the league announced Monday.

Forward of the Week

Evan Werner | Tri City Storm | Flower Mound, Texas

Recorded his second consecutive two-goal game with a pair of tallies in the Storm's 4-3 loss to Lincoln on Wednesday

Notched one goal and two assists in Tri City's 6-3 win at Sioux Falls on Friday, then scored again in the Storm's 4-3 shootout win at Sioux City on Saturday

Since joining Tri City in mid-November, Werner is on a five-game goal scoring streak with seven goals in that stretch. He also has three assists as a member of the Storm.

Assisted on Dubuque's first goal of the game in a 4-3 OT win vs. Chicago on Friday, then scored the first goal of the game and the overtime winner in the Fighting Saints' 4-3 OT win vs. Des Moines on Saturday

In his third season with Dubuque, Burkholder is T-4th in scoring among USHL defensemen with five goals and 10 assists through 15 games. He recorded 23 points (9-14 -23) in 61 games last season

Birth Year: 2003

60 MINS | 30 SAVES | 1.00 GAA | .968 SV%

Made 30 saves on 31 shots to lead the Steel past Green Bay 2-1 on Saturday at the Resch Center

Through six games this season, Stark is 5-1-0-0 with the second best save percentage in the USHL (.932) and fourth best goals against average (2.49)
