WENATCHEE, WA - Brandon Hammer, an internationally experienced youth and collegiate soccer standout has signed a Professional Arena Soccer League contract with the Wenatchee Fire FC.
Hammer, a 25-year-old striker, becomes the first player to be signed by the Wenatchee Fire FC who will begin their inaugural PASL season November 15, 2008 when they open against the Stockton Cougars at the brand new Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, WA.
Hammer was noticed and evaluated while training last Winter with David "Hoggy" Hoggan, former SPL, EPL, NASL, MISL standout and current manager of Everett based, U.S. Club Soccer, Tyncastle FC. "'Claw' is a dynamite young talent, lightening quick and has a nose for the net, able to score equally well with both feet," says Hoggan.
"We are very excited about signing a young talent like Brandon," said, Mike Osborn, General Manager and Head Coach of the Wenatchee Fire FC. "He is an extremely hard worker, very coachable, and has a sledge hammer for a shot. He is an unknown quantity to most of the soccer world, which fits very nicely with who we are right now. Brandon is a very likeable young man who we believe will be a great role model both on and off the field for the 126,000 plus youth that play soccer in Washington State."

PASL-Pro is a new professional arena soccer league whose inaugural season kicks off October 25, 2008 when the Stockton Cougars host the Colorado Lightning. PASL-Pro consists of 8 US teams, the CMISL, and LMFR. The San Diego Sockers and a yet-to-be-named team in Utah have been added for the 2009/10 season. PASL Premier just completed its 10th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league. PASL-Pro and PASL-Premier are members of the Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).
