Wenatchee Fire Set to Rejoin Professional League

WENATCHEE - October 1, 2010 - The arena soccer club Wenatchee Fire will be rejoining the Professional Arena Soccer League as a member of the new Frontier Division. Wenatchee spent a year fielding a team in the Premier league while anticipating their return to the top league of arena soccer in the United States, which will be made while maintaining semiprofessional status. The team will play a 12 game schedule, yet to be finalized. Highlights of the partially-released calendar include the latest edition of a rivalry against Tacoma Stars played in Wenatchee on February 19th as well as the first-ever international match in Fire FC history against Revolucion Tijuana of Mexico.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be reaffirming our commitment to bringing the highest level of arena soccer to the community with this move," says General Manager/Head Coach Mike Osborn, "Our community has a passion for this sport and more than enough talent to compete with the best in the country."

Tryouts will be held October 12th and 14th at the home of the Wenatchee Fire FC, the Wenatchee Valley Sportsplex. Season ticket packages will also be announced shortly.
