Wenatchee: June 16, 2012: The Wenatchee AppleSox scored early and often Saturday night, defeating the Cowlitz Black Bears 13-0, their third straight loss in league play.
Nonetheless, Ian Ekery (Central Arizona) and Zev Egli (Mt. Hood) delivered stellar performances out of the bullpen. Ekery pitched three and a third innings without allowing an earned run, as did Egli in two innings.
The Black Bears recorded four base hits and were led at the plate by Cody Childs (Mt. Hood) and Brian Frattali (U of Portland), who each had a base hit and a walk.
The Black Bears next home game is against the Corvallis Knights on Tuesday, June 19. It will be Azteca $2 Tuesday where general admission tickets, hot dogs, soda, and beer are all $2 apiece.
