
Welter named Player of the Week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Josh Welter of the Fayetteville FireAntz has been named the Sher-wood Hockey "Player of the Week" for the past week.
Welter scored six goals and had six assists in three Fayetteville wins this past week. He had four goals and two assists against Pee Dee on Sunday. He is currently tied for seventh in the SPHL in scoring with 69 points.
He is the third straight Fayetteville forward to earn the award as Robert Sich claimed honors two weeks ago and Tim Velemirovich last week. The FireAntz have 10 seven games in a row and moved into sole possession of second place only two points behind Columbus.
