Welcome Back Force Fans

May 8, 2008 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF)
Philadelphia Force News Release

Hello Force Fans,

Welcome to another exciting year of Philadelphia Force National Profastpitch softball. Once again, this promises to be an outstanding year of high-paced, high-energy professional softball. We invite fans to come out to ECTB Stadium at Bicentennial Park in Allentown, PA all summer long and cheer the Force onto the 2008 NPF Championship.

This year promises to be a banner year! In 2007 the team won 24 games as opposed to 12 in 2006. During the Off-Season, we have put together what we feel is a team that will compete for the Championship. Our core group of players returns that was good enough to make us second in the League Offensively. We also had the most players elected to the 2007 NPF All-Star team. We have added some exciting new players to this year's squad that will make the Force pitching staff the deepest and probably best in the league as we anticipate the 2008 year! Look for Katie Burkhart and Megan Gibson, two of the best pitchers in this years Draft to make quite an impression as they join the Pro Ranks of the NPF. Also welcome Amy Harre, an off-season acquisition to lead our pitching staff. She was a 2006 All Star and Pitcher of the Year in the NPF.

Satisfaction of all fans is of utmost importance for the team. Look for several new innovations in our Game Day operations, including better and more efficient ticketing operations. We will be offering expanded and better food & beverage services and of course, new merchandise that will be available at the Stadium or on-line. We launched our first ever Holiday website www.forcestuff.com in November. This will remain a staple as we enter the 2008 Season with items that are different then those always available at our retail outlets. New ticket plans are also available to our devoted fans wishing to take part in multiple games. Our competition will be the best yet, as we will face every team in the league twice. Also look for expanded TV coverage of live Force games while on the road. Also, look for National TV coverage on ESPN of two games involving Team NPF vs. Team USA in July. So keep up with all innovations as we post announcements on the team's website www.philadelphiaforce.com. Additionally, information is available at our Winter Office (215) 875-2800 until May 2008, thereafter at 610-841-SOFT (7638).

As the spring continues more announcements concerning the upcoming season will be posted on the team's website. Please make note of the Force appearance at Citizen Bank Park on Saturday, May 17th for the Philadelphia Phillies annual Women's Softball Celebration. We will be there all Day conducting clinics and appearing later that PM at the game. In the meantime, please contact Erin Statmore for information regarding Winter/Spring Camps and Clinics or better yet organize on custom to your team or league's needs. Also look for the new programs that the Force will be doing with the Allentown and Easton School Districts as well as the Philadelphia Library System.

Attending a Force game is a unique experience into itself. At a Force game, you may be selected to participate in many on-field promotions such as the dizzy bat race, sumo wrestling, or the big red chair. Foul balls that go into the stands can be kept as a souvenir of your outing. These bright-yellow softballs make a great item to use at the autograph session at the end of each game where every player on the Force is available to sign your Force merchandise or other items. As always there are great discounts available to your team and/or organization, simply e-mail Judy at jkleinman@philadelphiaforce.com. Please feel free to send me your comments both pro and con and I will endeavor to answer them all!

See you at the Stadium!
