Championship Game Rematch in Preseason Exhibition Dec. 10
The National Lacrosse League will be in Langley, British Columbia, on Saturday, December 10, as the Washington Stealth take on the Toronto Rock in a preseason exhibition game at the Langley Events Centre. The Stealth and Rock have faced one another in each of the last two NLL Championship Games, the Stealth winning in 2010 and the Rock hoisting the Champion's Cup in May.
The game between the Stealth and the Rock will be the highlight of the weekend, but the two teams will also be hosting a number of events for all the coaches, players and fans in the lacrosse community. The Stealth and Rock coaching staffs will host a Coaches Chalk Talk and social on Friday, December 9. The teams will then hold open practices on Saturday morning, followed by on-floor player clinics Saturday afternoon, where youth lacrosse players will receive hands-on instruction from Stealth and Rock players and coaches. Following the game on Saturday night, a postgame autograph session and meet and greet will take place at Langley Events Centre.
"The lacrosse fans in BC are in for a treat," said Stealth Head Coach Chris Hall. "The Stealth and Rock have been involved in some incredible games the last two seasons, and having members of both teams providing clinics will be a tremendous opportunity for the lacrosse community."
Tickets for the exhibition game between the Washington Stealth and Toronto Rock go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 5. Tickets start at just $18 and capacity at the Langley Events Center is 5,200, so tickets will sell quickly, however, as a Stealth Ticketholder you will have pre-sale access to purchase tickets beginning Wednesday June 29th at 11 a.m. Public Onsale is Tuesday July 5, 2011.

Sticks-2-Schools Welcomes Chris McElroy, Raises Money for Fight Against Childhood Obesity
Sticks-2-Schools, the non-profit partner organization of the Washington Stealth, has announced that Stealth defensemen Chris McElroy will take on the role of program instructor in the organization's second year in Washington. McElroy is an eight-year NLL vet and played a major role in the community department during his time as a member of the Edmonton Rush.
The program made its debut in Washington last spring with visits to numerous schools in the Puget Sound region. McElroy, who enters his second season with the Stealth in 2012, takes over the reigns as program instructor and is eager to reach out to as many children as possible.
"I'm extremely excited to be a part of Sticks-2-Schools," said McElroy. "It's important to promote an active and healthy lifestyle to children and by using lacrosse, we are engaging kids in a new and fun activity that they will be excited to learn."
In order to dedicate more of his time to Sticks-2-Schools, McElroy has made the move to Washington. He's already played a part in the fundraising efforts for the organization, participating in an event on October 16 that raised enough money to bring Sticks-2-Schools to another school on the waiting list.
Currently, there are over 80 schools on the Sticks-2-Schools waiting list. Fundraising is ongoing in an attempt to bring the program to as many schools as possible. Businesses and individuals with an interest in partnering with Sticks-2-Schools and the fight against childhood obesity should contact Sitcks-2-Schools Director Breanna Kernan at (425)322-2623 or at bkernan@stealthlax.com.
