Weekend Of Clinics Scheduled For March 8 And 9

ROCKFORD - The Rockford Thunder and General Manager Aaron M. Moore announced today that they would host a coach's clinic on Saturday, March 8 and a hitting/defense clinic on Sunday, March 9 at the team's indoor training facility (213 N. 3rd Street).
The coach's clinic on Saturday will begin at 12 p.m. and the cost for each coach to participate is $25 for the 2.5-hour training seminar. Each coach will receive lunch as part of the afternoon. The clinic is open to both baseball and softball coaches interested in learning drills they can use to better prepare the youth.
The coach's attending the clinic will be divided into 4-5 small groups for 30-minute rotations, so they are able to get more in-depth instruction. The different rotations will be hitting, pitching/catching, infield/outfield and strength/agility.
Sunday's clinic will be offered in two different sessions. The first session will be offered from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and will be available for youth ages 7-12. The second session will begin at 1 p.m. and is offered for girls 13-18. The focus of this clinic will be hitting and defense, with about an hour devoted to each.
The cost of the youth clinic on Sunday is just $25 per participant. All participants will receive two hours of instruction, autograph opportunities and merchandise discounts.
