Omaha, NE - Welcome to Week 14. The weekend includes a United Bowl II re-match, a face-off featuring the UIF's true expansion teams; a clash involving the other two teams that joined the UIF this season, a second showdown of two teams and a third battle between two more teams. The Omaha Beef have the bye this week.
SIOUX FALLS (11-0) vs. LEXINGTON (7-5)
At Lexington, KY
7:30 p.m. Eastern
The Lexington Horsemen have been waiting for this day since July 29, 2006 - the day they fell to the Sioux Falls Storm 72-64 in United Bowl II. The Horsemen return to Rupp Arena after defeating the Evansville BlueCats 42-41 last Saturday at Roberts Stadium. Leading the way for Lexington in the victory were RB Rayshawn Askew and their defense. Askew had 147 all-purpose yards (80-rushing, 53-receiving and 14-kickoff returns) and four total touchdowns (three-rushing and one-receiving). The defense forced a fumble, recovered two more, sacked Brent Dearmon twice, intercepted him once (by William Mulder), broke up a pass and blocked a Nate Meyer field goal (by Jamal Naji). The Storm defeated the Ohio Valley Greyhounds 56-20 last Saturday at home. Leading the way for Sioux Falls were QB Terrance Bryant and DB Justin Landis. Bryant, who went 17-24 for 166 yards and six touchdowns, earned Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in week 13. Landis had 7.5 tackles (.5 TFL), broke up two passes and intercepted Oscar Davenport, returning it 31 yards to set up a Marques Smith touchdown.
COLORADO (5-6) vs. BLOOMINGTON (5-6)
At Bloomington, IL

The UIF's true expansion teams will face off Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, IL. The Bloomington Extreme, who came into the league last year, host the Colorado Ice, who began play this season. Bloomington fell last Saturday at home to the Rock River Raptors 40-39. Leading the way for the Extreme were DL Quince Holman and WR Glenn Johnson. Holman, who returned from playing with the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, had 5.5 tackles (1.5 TFL) and a sack, forced a fumble, and broke up a pass. Johnson was quarterback Dusty Burk's favorite target of the night as he caught six passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Colorado also fell last Saturday, losing 56-38 to the Billings Outlaws at MetraPark Arena. Leading the way for the Ice were QB Matt Guiterrez and LB Ryan Palmer. Guiterrez completed 19 of 24 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns (both to Tim Pope); he also rushed for 11 yards. On defense, Palmer made seven tackles, forced a fumble and broke up a pass.
RIVERCITY (7-4) vs. BILLINGS (6-4)
At Billings, MT
7 p.m. Mountain
The other two teams who joined the UIF this season will clash Saturday at MetraPark Arena in Billings, MT. The Billings Outlaws won their sixth in-a-row last weekend at home, defeating the Colorado Ice 56-38. Leading the way for the Outlaws were QB Chris Dixon and DL Eugene Phillips. Dixon had 212 all-purpose yards (48-rushing, 164-passing) and seven passing touchdowns. The RiverCity Rage come into Billings fresh off a bye week. In their last action, RiverCity defeated Ohio Valley 34-20 at The Family Arena June 9th. Leading the way for the Rage were RB Muhammad Abdulqaadir and DE Terrell Washington. Abdulqaadir rushed for 65 yards and also caught a two-yard touchdown reception from Anthony Fisher. Washington made 5.5 tackles (three TFL) and two sacks, forced a fumble and also had a quarterback hurry.
EVANSVILLE (3-8) vs. SIOUX CITY (3-9)
At Sioux City, IA
7:05 p.m. Central
In Week 5, the Sioux City Bandits defeated the Evansville BlueCats 28-26 at Roberts Stadium. So, the question is, can the BlueCats even the score this weekend? This weekend's game will be held at the Tyson Events Center. Last Saturday, Sioux City fell to the Omaha Beef 30-27 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. DL Marvin Campbell and WR Johnnie Ostermeyer led the way for the Bandits. Campbell made 6.5 tackles (three TFL) while Ostermeyer caught seven passes for 76 yards and three touchdowns. The BlueCats fell to the Lexington Horsemen 42-41 last Saturday at home. Leading the way for Evansville were RB Michael Cosey and DE Deion Holts. Cosey had 66 yards of total offense and three total touchdowns (one-rushing and two-receiving). Holts made 5.5 tackles (two TFL) and two sacks, blocked an extra point and recorded two safeties. As a result, he was rewarded with the Week 13 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
OHIO VALLEY (2-9) vs. ROCK RIVER (8-4)
At Rockford, IL
7:05 p.m. Central
In the teams' previous two meetings, the Rock River Raptors have combined to out-score the Ohio Valley Greyhounds by a margin of 106-80. Will the third time be the charm for the Greyhounds? We'll know after Saturday night's game at Rockford MetroCentre. Last Saturday, the Raptors edged the Bloomington Extreme 40-39 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Leading the way for Rock River were WR Lawrence Bady and LB Maurice Simpkins. Bady caught nine passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. Simpkins made six tackles (.5 TFL), an interception and even blocked a Peter Christofilakos field goal. The Greyhounds fell 56-20 to the Sioux Falls Storm last Saturday at the Sioux Falls Arena. Leading the way for Ohio Valley were WR Willie Austin and DB K.C. Cavette. Austin caught 12 passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns as Cavette made six tackles.
