Week Four: Game Notes

The Indoor Football League had its first full slate of games for week four with six teams making their 2021 debut. The Iowa Barnstormers, Frisco Fighter, Arizona Rattlers and Bismarck Bucks all came away with victories in their respective matchups.

Six teams made their 2021 season debuts in week four, along with the Frisco Fighters and the Northern Arizona Wranglers making the inaugural starts as new franchises in The Indoor Football League.

The Vegas Golden Knights announced on May 11, that Chairman and CEO Bill Foley, in partnership with Dollar Loan Center Founder and CEO Chuck Brennan, has officially purchased an expansion franchise from the Indoor Football League.

The Iowa Barnstormers and Sioux Falls Storm played in the first IFL Game Of The Week and for the first time in IFL history the game was broadcasted nationally, as well as worldwide via Stadium's digital platforms. Also, for the first time in American professional team sports, the live game broadcasts featured real-time gamification within the broadcast experience.

The Arizona Rattlers, Barnstormers and Fighters all won their first game of the season and improve to 1-0. Sioux Falls Storm, Spokane Shock and Northern Arizona Wranglers all fall to 0-1

The Bismarck Bucks defeated the Green Bay Blizzard for the second time this season. With the win the Bucks improve to a 2-1 record.

The Bucks got the job done on the ground running for 142 yards and scored five touchdowns as a team. Running back Justin Rankin lead the charge on 10 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Glen Cuiellette had eight rushes for 26 yards and three touchdowns.

Iowa quarterback Daquan Neal put on a show in their game against the Storm throwing 16-of-22 for 254 yards and six touchdowns through the air. That marks the most touchdowns responsible for by a quarterback so far this season.

Fighters running back Demarcus Felton had three touchdowns against the Spokane Shock, his final touchdown came with 10 seconds remaining in the game and was ultimately sealed with defensive back Joel Dullray grabbing his second interception.

The Rattlers won in dominate fashion over the in-state rival Wranglers, 51-20. The rattlers score 44 of their 51 points in the first half alone.

There are six matchups set for week five. The IFL Game of The Week features the Storm hosting the Barnstormers on Saturday, May 22, at 8:00 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcasted live on Stadium. For the full schedule for week five visit here.
