FRIDAY'S GAMES

LOUISVILLE 54, Peoria 50 (Attendance: 8,154): Game MVP JOSH ROGERS completed 23-of-36 passes for team record 318 yards and four touchdowns in the Fire's (2-2) win over Peoria (1-3). Ironman NORMAN MASON hauled in nine receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

ARKANSAS 57, Bossier City 54 (Attendance: 6,497): Quarterback RICKY HEBERT found LENNIE JOHNSON for a 30-yard touchdown with 2:10 left in the game to lift the Twisters (2-2) past the Battle Wings (2-2). Game MVP TED ALFORD led all Twisters with eight catches for 108 yards and two scores. He also returned a kickoff 53 yards for a touchdown.

SATURDAY'S GAMES

RICHMOND 39, Norfolk 33 (Attendance: 3,994): DAMON THOMPSON'S 28-yard touchdown reception with under a minute to go carried the Speed (1-2) past the Nighthawks (2-1). Thompson led all receivers, totaling 14 catches for 152 yards and three touchdowns on the night.

WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON 58, Rochester 35 (Attendance: 5,204): Quarterback CHRIS BODEN threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Pioneers (1-3) to its first win of the season. Wide receiver/defensive back DEREK BAKER had two receiving touchdowns, a 50-yard kickoff return for a score and an interception for the Brigade (0-4).

CAPE FEAR 52, Macon 41 (Attendance: 4,487): ADT Defensive Player of the Game BRETT CLARK tallied five pass deflections and recovered an onside kick for an 11-yard score in the final minute of the game to seal the win over the Knights (3-1). Game MVP BRYAN SNYDER went 17-of-23 for 213 yards and three touchdowns for the Wildcats (2-1).

CHARLESTON 38, Birmingham 37 (Attendance: 3,864): LEROY MCFADDEN'S 19-yard touchdown catch at the end of the first half put the Swamp Foxes (1-3) ahead of the Steeldogs (2-2) for the first time all night and Charleston never relinquished the lead. Steeldogs' offensive specialist ARYVIA HOLMES grabbed nine passes for 102 yards and four touchdowns, earning game MVP honors.

GREENSBORO 47, Mohegan 44 (Attendance: 3,561): The Prowlers (3-1) were able to withstand two fourth quarter touchdown returns by ANTHONY COMER in the narrow win over Mohegan (3-1). Game MVP BOBBY SIPPIO led all receivers with four catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns for the Prowlers.

Florida 53, MEMPHIS 42 (Attendance: 3,252): Game MVP CAINON LAMB caught 11 passes for 156 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Firecats (2-2) past the Xplorers (1-3). Ironman of the Game SCHAD FREEMAN rushed six times for 25 yards with one score, and he led all defenders with 6.5 tackles. He also notched a sack and a pass break-up.

Cincinnati 69, GREEN BAY 33 (Attendance: 3,111): Swarm (2-2) quarterback CHRISTIAN BATCHELLER (Game MVP) completed 24-of-28 passes for 269 yards and eight touchdowns in the rout over the Blizzard (0-4). Receivers JAMES SCOTT and TONY LOCKE each hauled in three touchdowns for the Swarm.

WICHITA 56, Tulsa 49 (Attendance: 7,138): The Stealth (3-1) rallied for two touchdowns in the final minute to send the game into overtime, where offensive specialist MICHAEL DRITLEIN caught a 39-yard touchdown pass to lift the Stealth over the Talons (3-1). Dritlein, the game's MVP, caught 12 passes for 202 yards and five scores overall.

Quad City 37, BAKERSFIELD 34 (Attendance: 3,754): Steamwheelers' (2-2) quarterback TONY ZIMMERMAN rushed for four touchdowns and passed for another in the win over the Blitz (1-3), earning game MVP honors. SHAWN ORR intercepted a CHAD ELLIOTT pass in the fourth quarter, earning the ADT Defensive Player of the Game award.

HAWAII 51, San Diego 43 (Attendance: 2,960): The Islanders (3-1) improved to 2-0 at home behind 61 rushing yards and two touchdowns from game MVP CHRIS PAOGOFIE. Ironman of the game ISAAC WHITE had three receptions for 35 yards, led all Islander tacklers with 5.0 and took an interception back 20 yards for a score.
