Week 9 Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week Taylor Edwards Photo by Dina Kwit Courtesy of National Pro Fastpitch Nashville, TN - Taylor Edwards earned Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season as she led the league with a .500 AVG and 10 RBI. Edwards helped the Bandits to four wins this week and was tied for the most home runs with three. She added two doubles and slugged .923. For the third time this season Akron Racers' Sami Fagan was named Rookie of the Week. The former Missouri Tiger led all rookies with a .438 AVG for the week. Fagan doubled twice and walked twice as well to finished with a .500 OBP. The Pitcher of the Week award belongs to Jolene Henderson from the USSSA Pride. Henderson finished the week 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA and 13 strikeouts through 12 innings of work. Henderson went the distance to earn a complete game shutout in one of her two starts this week.
