Week 13 Players of the Week Announced

Omaha, NE - R.J. Rollins, Jamal Cooper and Adam Hicks have been selected as United Indoor Football (UIF) players of the week for their play in week 13 of the UIF season.

Rollins, running back for the Omaha Beef, has been named Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in last week's game. In Omaha's 54-6 win over the Wichita Wild, he rushed 18 times for 102 yards and four touchdowns. The 102 yards are a UIF season-high. Rollins added three catches for 22 yards. This weekend, he and his teammates will hit the road to face the Bloomington Extreme Saturday evening at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Cooper, defensive lineman for the RiverCity Rage, has been tabbed as Defensive Player of the Week. Last weekend, in RiverCity's 32-29 overtime win over the Bloomington Extreme, he tallied 4.5 tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks. In addition, he forced and recovered a fumble, returning 49 yards for a touchdown and also broke up three passes. This weekend, he and his teammates will travel to Sioux City, Iowa to meet the Sioux City Bandits Saturday evening at the Tyson Events Center.

Hicks, kicker for the Sioux Falls Storm, is being honored with Special Teams Player of the Week. Last Saturday, against Sioux City, he converted two-of-three field goals (36 and 35 yards) and also made all five of his extra points to score 11 of the Storm's 41 in the team's 41-32 win over the Bandits. On the defensive side of things, Hicks made 1.5 tackles. This weekend, he and the rest of the Storm will travel to Loveland, Colorado to take on the Colorado Ice Friday evening at the Budweiser Events Center.
