Milwaukee Wave News Release
The 7-time champion Milwaukee Wave have a busy weekend ahead them with an away and home series against the Dallas Sidekicks.
The Wave are looking two snap a two-game losing streak; suffering losses on the road against St. Louis (10-4) and more recently at home against Kansas City (8-6).
"Dallas is a dangerous team and they've got nothing to lose," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "They have a lot of talented players. They've been to overtime many times and have been unlucky many times. If we don't show up and are switched on it'll be a very difficult evening."
The Sidekicks are still in search of their first win of the season and are currently on a 15-game losing streak. Closest the Sidekicks have came to a victory was Sunday, January 29 in an overtime thriller against Mesquite that came down to a shootout.
"We can't take Dallas lightly," said Olivierio. "Plus you've got Head Coach Ricardinho who won a championship with us in 2005 and Assistant Coach Fabinho that won a championship with us in 2011 and 2012. They both have a lot of pride and certainly don't want to lose to the team that they played for."
