Watley Joins National Team; Eldredge and Scaglione Represent USA Elite Team

Hempstead, NY-June 21, 2005- Three New York Juggernaut members will represent the Red, White and Blue on the softball diamond for the summer. Natasha Watley, 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist, will continue her stellar play on the National Team, while Kaleo Eldredge and Heather Scaglione will play for the USA Elite Team in multiple competitions this summer. During these tournaments, Watley, Eldredge and Scaglione will be absent from NY Juggernaut competition.

The National Team, which consists of an 18-member roster, takes the field July 12 in Irvine, Calif. for an exhibition game against Australia before heading to the first ever World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City, July 14-18. On July 26, the team will travel to Yokohama, Japan as they look to defend the Japan Cup title.

The 16-member Elite Team will represent the USA beginning July 2 at the Canada Cup in Surrey, B.C. and the Inter-Continental Cup in Madrid, Spain, July 20-28. For more information on USA Softball, visit them online at www.usasoftball.com.

The New York Juggernaut with Watley, Eldredge and Scaglione, begin this weeks series in Montville, New Jersey on Thursday when they take on the Chinese National Team at 7:00 p.m. They then return home to Hofstra University Softball Stadium to host the Chinese on Friday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. For more information or for tickets, please call 631-385-1634 or visit the Juggernaut online at www.nynjjuggernaut.com.
