Washington Stealth News Release

Everett, Wash. - The Washington Stealth has announced the selections for the 2012 Bombshells Dance Team. The 18-member squad was selected from a pool of forty women who appeared at the Bombshells auditions on October 2 at the Comcast Arena at Everett.

The Bombshells, the National Lacrosse League's premiere dance team, performs at all Stealth home games at the Comcast Arena at Everett and also appears at numerous community and special events throughout the year. This year, the team features ten first-year members and eight dancers returning from a year ago.

The selection process included a five-hour audition at the Comcast Arena, where dancers learned and performed a dance routine in groups and answered interview questions. The judges, led by Bombshells Director Jillian Boprey and Jenn Carrington, owner of the Auburn Dance Academy, narrowed down the candidates throughout the day, ultimately selecting 18 members for the 2012 Bombshells. The team harbors some of the finest dance talent in Washington, with many members boasting professional dance experience with the Seattle Seahawks and Supersonics on their resumes.

"I was really impressed by the turnout and the quality of performers that came to auditions," said Boprey. "The girls really put their best foot forward and pushed themselves through a long day. I'm so pleased with our final team and can't wait to see our growth in the coming months."

The Bombshells will be performing at Stealth games throughout the 2012 season, which begins on January 14 when the Stealth hosts the Calgary Roughnecks at the Comcast Arena. Season tickets start at just $99 and are available by calling 877-MY-75-TIX or at www.stealthlax.com.
