Washington Spirit News Release
Washington, D.C. - The Washington Spirit have signed defender Amber Brooks to a one year deal. Brooks spent the previous two NWSL seasons with OL Reign.
Brooks, an eight year veteran of the NWSL, has made stops with the Portland Thorns, the Houston Dash and most recently the Reign. Prior to playing in the NWSL, she made 19 appearances for Bayern Munich in Germany and played eight more matches while on loan. The center back is quickly approaching the 150 cap club and would join fellow Spirit player Tori Huster at that milestone.
"To be able to bring in a veteran like Amber is a huge win for us," Head Coach Kris Ward said. "And not just a veteran but a consummate professional and competitor."
