
Warriors sweep Fighting Falcons

PORT HURON,MI- The Michigan Warriors defeated the Port Huron Fighting Falcons 6-1 in front of 508 fans on Saturday Night at the McMorran Place Sports & Entertainment Center. The Warriors opened up the scoring at the 8:19 mark in the first period on a goal from Patrick Gregory. Defensemen Ryan Teal picked up the helper on the goal. The Warriors extended their lead to 2-0 at the 13:25 mark on a goal from forward Tyler Perpich. Defensemen Ryan Trenz and forward Chris Eckler picked up the assists on the Perpich goal. The Warriors made it 3-0 at the 15:04 mark of the period on a goal from Andrew Kolb. Forward Scott Henegar picked up the helper on Kolbs' eighth of the season. The Warriors capitalized on a Falcons penalty at the 5:19 mark of the middle stanza with a power-play goal from Scott Henegar. Forward Andrew Kolb and defensemen Michael Szuma picked up the helpers on the Henegar goal. Andrew Kolb picked up his second of the game at the 4:02 mark of the third period. Defensemen Michael Szuma picked up his second helper of the game on the goal. The Warriors made it 6-0 at the 6:50 mark of the period on a power-play goal from Scott Henegar. Kolbs and Perpich picked up the assist on Henegars' second power-play goal of the game. The Falcons broke the shutout at the 17:31 mark of the third period on a goal from Kord Miller. "Brach has been tremendous in the net for us and the offense is clicking on all cylinders" said General Manager and Head Coach Moe Mantha after the game. Manthas' Warriors will face-off against the Traverse City North Stars at the Centre Ice Arena for two consecutive contests beginning on Friday November 26th at 7:05 p.m. EST.
