Warriors sign two Cal State-Bakersfield stars

Ontario, CA. Oliver Binns, GM of the ABA Ontario Warriors professional basketball team today announced the signing of Todd Jones and Jamal Livingston, two former Cal State-Bakersfield stars. According to Binns, "We really like having players who played in California on the team - and Todd and Jamal are two great players."

Livingston, 28, is looked upon as a "big presence" done in the post. He was named 1st Team All-Conference during his two year career at Cal-State Bakersfield. The 6'8" 245 lb power forward played professionally in Malaysia, Chile and for the world renowned Harlem Globetrotters. A native of Bronx, NY, he stated, "I simply love basketball and playing for the Warriors is going to be a lot of fun."

Jones, 25, is expected to be the Warriors "shut down" player. Noted for his defensive play, Jones was named Defensive MVP in college while setting the conference record for most charges taken. The 6'6" 205lb shooting guard played professionally in China and Germany last season.

A native of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Jones attended Cal State-Bakersfield where he was tabbed 2nd team All-Conference his junior and senior seasons while leading the conference in free throw percentage. "Being one of the younger guys, I'm looking forward to improving each day and learning from the veterans," said Jones.
