
Warriors sign Steven Barber

Ontario, CA. Oliver Binns, GM of the ABA Ontario Warriors professional basketball team, today announced that the Warriors have signed their sixth player, Steven Barber, for the upcoming season.
Barber, 24, will make a strong effort to be the team's point guard. The 6'0" 170lb guard played recently for the Boston Celtics in training camp before being released. A native of San Antonio, TX, Barber attended the University of Texas-Arlington where he averaged 20 points and 5 assists per game during a three-year career. He was named First-Team Southland Conference twice. "I appreciate coach Cooper and Oliver Binns for the chance to play in the ABA and will give 110 percent each day," said Barber.
Binns added, "Half of our roster is complete. We have some very strong players, but it is going to take strong players to compete in the ABA this year. The talent across the league is outstanding."
