The Warriors came up huge in a three overtime thriller against the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, during game one of the Division Finals. The game ended after an impressive 105 minutes and 37 seconds of gameplay, when Colin Larkin scored the only goal of the game! Trevor Gorsuch played absolutely outstanding stopping all 55 shots that came his way, giving him a well deserved shut out.
The Warriors kept the momentum from Friday ' s win, beating the Falcons 3-0 in game two Saturday night. Tyler Groat carried the Warriors offensively with 2 goals. Also scoring was TJ Stuntz, as he scored an empty net goal to close out the game. Trevor Gorsuch picked up his 2nd shutout win in as many nights turning away all 28 Port Huron shots for a combined weekend total of 83 saves. Gorsuch ' s 2014 playoff record now improves to an impressive 5-0 with a save percentage of .972 and a goals against average of just .87.
The Warriors are now just one win away from advancing to the Robertson Cup Semi Finals. Game 3 will be at Perani Arena this Friday, April 25th at 7:00 PM and Game 4 (if necessary) will be at Perani Arena Saturday, April 26th at 7:00.
